Another chapter called 2014

As they say, Thousand miles of journey will begin with first step. I started 2014 in Belgaum with family. This time no Mumbai.. No Bangalore ... simple family evening. Year started well.

Today when i look back those 365 days I feel, We were busy with our busy life and we did not realise another is passed away..! It was like a cold wind passing through the fingers in tender sunny morning.
I sit with my coffee turn around my dairy pages and find many funny moments..

It was fag end of 2013 Grand mom was not well and dad had called twice and he was updating on things, then that evening call of dad.. Son its high time why dont you come and meet her she is asking about you. There I was.. fed up with my night shift it was effecting my health.. after listening to dad i told give me two days i will be there he said okay.. I  put papers in my office told i m going, got clearance from team. met grand mom and life was normal and I told dad " Paa i have put papers and i m not joining back". He said hope you have thought of your next plan. I said yup i have, going back and there is a interview scheduled on 2nd Jan 2014.

I landed back in Bangalore on 2nd morning, saw few of my old college notes on Marketing and IT. Cleaned my bike. I said i am all set.

I left home sharp at 2 pm reached the venue at sharp 2.30pm. I was piping in to the office and saw people are busy discussing something and no one was bothered to look at the door and i was little skeptical on is this the same address... and i was about to say "Excuse me..!!"  But some one in background said Excuse me..!  I turned around saw a person in blue shirt on side of sleeve was folded another was buttoned properly. I gave way and Gentleman turned and said You are searching some one, I said Yes I am here to Meet Mr. Ravindra for interview. With Big smile he said Hey that's me With firm handshake he said please be sited. I will be back in 15 min.

I started to observe things around.. people were discussing some design of box i said okay... ! and looked at table in front of me.  Business line paper was there i glanced at the front page. Here he comes... Hey !! Gimme a min i fill water and will start. You want some water? I said no thanks :-)

He self introduced and told things he does and what is this office about and many other things. he said you want to ask anything? i was taken back ... I said this is very different than those interviews. and I said no i don't have any questions..

Tell me about your self.. about your college ... about your current job etc..
I gave an elaborated answer starting from family till my last job.  Q&A was done..
He puts my resume on table and sits firm and says after hearing you let me tell you this job is no where near to your old job, here every day is new for you. People to whom you interact will be very senior to you and they have already achieved something so expect the behavioural change... I promise you .. you will learn Business much more than any one, you get a chance to look at every business with very close view.

And then one final question.. Where do you find your self after 2 years... how do you say you spent to years?

My answer was " when i sit with a coffee mug and think of these 2 years. It should give me happiness not that OHH Goddd!! feeling, I  want be satisfied and happy "

reply was Okay..!! we came to an agreement and He says I want you to be here on 16th Jan and pack your bag on 20th we are going to be in PUNE. I said okay Sir but i want a leave on 16th Feb else i will join post 16th Feb. He said anything special?? Answer was My sisters wedding. With smile Sir said Go ahead.  My new Journey started in day light no more night shifts ...

It was a great start .. felt like i m back in my college.. Event in a mall running all around in much known city Pune. Full of new things first party with my boss at TGIF. Every days coffee talks made me understand more about may things. We closed the event i stayed back for day and went to cousin Sisters place till met every one after long time.

Returned to Home Bangalore and it was great evening work started and then comes mega event of the year...


Deepu's wedding..She was angry as i told her i am not coming as i didn't get leave But me and Pinky( Deepu's friend) had planned to give surprise. I land exactly at her Mehendi ... Mami and Mama welcomed said " Magane barangilla andididalaaa" ( You had told you wont be coming to wedding ...)
Answer was surprise .. Mami said Now its done He is here it will be fun.. went up and saw Deepu .. Pinkya was next to her both started to shout yeeeahhhhhhh>..!!

Wedding went like dream.. lots of fun... family time !

After all the fun i was back in Bangalore with my new work life trying to adjust to new things new people around me..it went on ..!

There comes another big day of my life ... My MBA convocation ..!
Dad personally called and told we are coming .. Your mom and me both will be there and i told my cousin brother he said even he is coming. after hearing this first thing i did was called my college and told i will be coming with my 3 family  members please book the seats and it was done.

Was sitting with my best buddy Nitin and we were talking nonsense :P :P Prizes for best performance academic year were announced and he said we wont get any of this i said whats new in that and a loud laughter .. from both..!

Suddenly Dean Mr. Malavalli announced Best out going Boy Lecturers choice is " Mr. Nitin Pensale"  and after this Nitin was struck he was like thats me thats me... i was shouting like crazy we hugged and he went on and received the award with his limited smile ... all the awards were over and then again Dean said its not yet done. Princi's medals will be give to the chosen students for there contribution in different sectors. He said; Here we go in his American accent :-)

First award goes to " Mr. Samarth Homey "  and Nitin started to shout ... I stood up ... i was not able to here any thing else only vestals.. claps.. Hooters and all my nick name :D :D  
Convocation came to an end with National anthem because chief guest of the function was Chief Justice of India, Protocols was to be followed.

Mom and dad both were happy.. bro clicked pics of mine..

I went back to my class gang and threw the hat up to mark the Graduation..!


Now its Dec i was planing this from long time to do something crazy  there comes a suggestion from friend said lets jump out of plane and quick plan was done.. called another friend he said we will do it.. SKYDIVING ..!

Went to Mumbai trained and JUMPPPPPPPP....!! learnt a lot from that jump.. what is life worth.. how it feels when you are numb.. loneliness.. fearless flow.. timing.

I was back in Belgaum for last few days of 2014 having fun with mom dad and two of my buddies Rahul and Bhushan.. Rahul got engaged and had an awesome new year  party with  them.


Back in home next morning..!! 1 st Jan 2015

Dad as usual switched on the light early `morning at 5.30am and i as usual pulled my blanket and slept. woke up to the dad's pooja bells and Mantra's. at dining table with half open eyes .... I said ... Ammma happy new year.. by squeezing my cheeks mom said happy new year.. after finishing pooja i was still having my tea dad said Happy new year.. I was wished the same with a hug.


Another year has started with lots of new things.. new challenges..SURPRISES .. !!

I hope every one had a great 2014. Lets hope 2015 will be better than all the years we had.

It was a Dream till yesterday..!

Its been a  long time ...
Lots of things have happened in last few months.

I got a silver medal in my MBA, for the contribution i have done to many events that happened in past two year. Happiest moment was not medal. Happiness was my MOM and DAD were in the same auditorium when i received the medal. this was first time in my 25 years life they are together for my educational event.

We had awesome party fun filled day after that, friend of mine "NITIN" whom people call my "chaddi dost" in MBA god best outgoing academic boy of the year . It was just awesome moment of life.
I still remember it was almost 1.30pm and there was restlessness in crowd and Dean said you are not yet graduated be calm, few surprises are lined up and soon after that he said Silver medal's will be given to the students who have made few important contribution in there MBA life.  Every one started to shout hooter  and  again there was silence.

First name was mine...! Dean in his american accent call " Samarth Homey" was stroked with happy wind. Nitin was sitting beside me said Congo buddy ... and I started to walk towards the stage. Every one was clapping and hooters .. And my mom n dad were sitting so calm and with satisfied smile. I walked with a big smile. Ex Chief Justice of Supreme Court presented the Award.

I saw entire auditorium was cheering for me..! lots of smile and happiness..!

It was a great day to every one who graduated with me. Function was over and we threw our hats up high in the air posed for the photos. I went in crowed and met few of my friends parents and they were more happier than me every one was saying " you are the most famous person in college i guess.. did you see the support and cheers you got..!" i just smiled and greeted every one and couldn't stay long. Clicked few selfies and went out with Mom & Dad for lunch.

Dad said you kept your promise, mom said congratulations and said at last you did it, you sticked to your words. Dad called few family members to give this good news that i did my MBA with a appreciation medal around my neck. One of my Aunt called me after two days and said you are true grand son to our father. Your dad told how people reacted when your name was announced, you still stand with the words of your grandfather. You have earned people.

Few of my friends and cousins from overseas wished me on Facebook.

I am living a life which mom wanted to be lived when she did her Graduation in Psychology with Gold medal.

I just said thank god.


When my network of friends, family , new people, working mates is increasing constantly.. i feel my dream of becoming an independent entity is fading.

I am working with a perfect person who has made a big impact to many Entrepreneurs life, i take so many lessons from him. learn every moment.

At same time i have written a business plan more than 10 times and trashed it. Every time someone sees the B-plan says something negative.
And my own daily small mistakes happen in my work life gives me a feeling that its not a good time to fly i am not prepared to take off on my own.

I just feel suppressed and sit in my world where thoughts flow like ocean and i am just watching them passing by.


Destiny is one big thing which also takes upper hand in every once life.

I may have done an impact in past i just feel that magic is missing in my present life. Hope to get that magic back soon.

My Lady ..!!

25 year old Indian born girl sitting at a Coffee lounge, sipping her Cappuccino  looks out of the shop and what she finds? what made her smile? she had no idea what day was that her curiosity increases due the loud voices raised in  the lounge. She looks at them and sees group of women's sitting there at the office hours and surprisingly almost all are in pink and she thinks again what day it is and she makes an attempt to know whats special about the day. Best way to understand whats going on in the world is just log in to  your Facebook and she did the same swiping her Apple phone switches her Facebook aap. By looking at the posts she is tagged and few of her friends status she says OHH !! hooo!! its International women's day..!!

Switching to reality she locked her phone and looks at the her limited addition watch that her dad had gifted her on her 18th birthday. she says 11 am and where is my gang ... glancing at the door of the lounge with coffee in hand, they are always late huh!! her phone vibration brings her back to her coffee table. Message on the Whats app group saying I m busy!! struck in meeting, i don't think so i ill be joining you all is Aarya . Girl who works for one of the financial firms and a Commerce Graduate from Mount Carmel College. and it started Viday - sorry yaar i hate my job..!! i m also busy with some important work. works at a MNC as a senior Programmer. Kaya- sorry girls unexpected guests at home. i wont be coming. An Architect grad from RV college. Suparna - hey i totally forgot we had planned to meet oops..! i wont ab there i m flying to Chicago for business meeting. an MBA grad from XLRI. 

With lot of appointment she keeps her phone down and she say's bitches always do this and txt on group I m in cafe from past 1 hr waiting for you all. do hell with you all. and again lots of sorry text's on whats aap group. She said one word "Oky". and she keeps the phone on table and start off with coffee and she calls the waiter and orders some sandwich. 

She again looks at the  women's table and by there talk she figures out they all are college friends and now working in different companies in Bangalore and all are married with kids etc.,

she says i think this is how its gonna happen with us!! i feel like my group sitting here on Women's day all are settled and same situation OMG ..!! this is future and i should capture keeping her coffee on the table walk towards the women's table and with a smile she say Hi..!! every one looks at her and BIG HIiiii!! they smile and ask her do we know you dear. and she says Actually Nope you don't. BUt from past few minutes i was sitting at a table pointing at a place where she is sitting i heard you talk i m sorry for that but felt great, if i m not wrong you all are college friends and this kind of small group Reunion..!! surprisingly one of then said dont be sorry dear and Yes it is ..!! you are right another women said. if you dont mind can i click few pics of your group and there yes light up by those words.. they said sure but you have to click pics also from our phone. with a smile she said sure :)

And she capture the moments and they said THANK UUUU :)

Back on the table, waiter ma'am  !! with sandwich :) she say's thank you ..!!   finishes her coffee  and also the sandwich. 

she just looked at the entrance found a Guy entering the cafe lather laptop bag. khaki pant and white shirts his sleeves are folded. I-phone in hand. He looks around the cafe in one minute like a 360' camera rotates. With a little smile of satisfaction walks towards the corner table. keeps his bag on one chair, and before he occupies a chair calls waiter and orders mineral water. And ya now he is settled and before she could see him some disturbance in front of her eye the cleaning boy who was cleaning her table. she looks at the time its 12.30 and checks her mobile. And Orders another Coffee. playing games on mobile waiting for the coffee. He opens his Mack book and got busy with some work.  With one shoot he almost finished 1ltr water.

she looks at the guy in between her game break, with a curiosity what is he doing kind of gesture. And on both the table Coffee arrives. With smile he says thanks to the waiter. she too does the same.within no time a  Gentlemen wearing a Blue Jacket  walk towards him both great and another coffee is ordered. Ohh he might be here for business meeting kind off stuff. they spoke for 20 min and ya she was done with coffee but she was reading a book ___ . She looks at him now and she finds he is sitting alone and looking out and ya its cold and she too looks out and she finds it raining. and in Background some one says YOU CANNOT PREDICT BANGALORE WEATHER..!! its 1.30pm and with little smile she looks at the book that she is reading and she finds the same situation the novel its raining there too :) and she looks at him surprisingly he is also looking at her...!!

With Smart crisp smile he nodding his head with Hello kind of gesture and waits for the same she unknowingly does the same and he looks out again. she is surprised and also felt something different. 

What is he doing on laptop she wanted to see. And evil mind says its time to use wash room. she passes near by his table and he was busy in some work. Not even bothered to look at who's walking nearby the table. While returning she takes a quick look at his laptop and she say's he is editing some photo. And she looks and its still raining now the rain disturbs his work..! he relocates on the table in-front of her with a smile and a gestures like i got drenched in rain. He resumes the work. By looking at the Novel she is reading he stare at her. Girl almost 5.2' Blue skin tight jeans, White shirt and sleeves folded in girly fashion. nodes his head like cool :) :) 

She looks back at him and now he is more clear and smiles back and says Hi ..!! with a smile she too say hello :) and some one enters the cafe and a group college going boys who where about to depart from the cafe, one of the boys mobile rings loudly " Tune mari enrty yaar dil ki baji ghanti yaa.." a Bollywood song. a girl who was entering got little embraced but the boys giggled and went out with hahaha :)

Both were smiling at what just happened...! He said Crazy people and she heard that and in return she gave a staring look with wide open eyes like surprise kind off.  for the look she gave in-return he said  Hi..! I am Vidyut. and she smiled and said Divya.! So reading a semi-romantic novel on a rainy day ?!? 

She- I didn't plan the rain :) :)

He - hmm ..!!

She- So editing Images for the client..!!

He- with a surprise ..!! what ?!? are you from CBI??

She- hehe no no..!! just saw you editing while you ere on the corner table. 

He -Ohh..!! no not for the client i was about to head out but it started raining and thought lets edit the pics from my last shoot. 

She- hmm 

Disturbance again..!! if you dont mind can i take this chair ?!? he said y sure and big gang of boys and girls are next the table ..! they were so loud but did a god JOB and raised the curiocty btween Vidyut and Divya.. now both are on one able and both ordered a coffee again she says its too much of cafine today :) he in return ohh is it !!

conversation started Vidyut Business meeting ?? divya asked .. yup kind off .. i have my own firm. what firm? i m a wedding photographer and she says wow interesting. what you do Divya? I work with a XYZ Architech firm as a interior designer. quite interesting too he said and here is you coffee sir waiter...!! thank you both together they said.

So how come you are here divya, you too had meeting ? nope was here to meet friends i mean the small reunion kid off .. but as usual because of busy life plan was FLOP..!

He said ohh yaa Bangalore and Busy life go hand in hand..! are from bangalore or from any other place she asked ?!

no i m not from Bangalore. i m from Mysore..! ohh prince from the Royal Mysore and she giggles ..!

with a smile he asks and you are from ? I'm 100% Bangaloren girl Born brought up in Bangalore..!

he just smiles in return..! Discussion continues and he says Happy women's day Divya..!

 Divya looking at the watch and also looks out .. the rain has stopped and she says are you gonn sit here full day ?

surprisingly he says Nope another 10 more min and i will head out towards Jaynagar...!

To your office ?? she says..

no no to my home..! where do u stay divya?  and he changes a line i mean if you want me to drop you on the way somewhere? !!

 with long hmmmmmm!!

Surprisingly two days Back Vidyut's mom was telling him there is a marriage proposal for him and girl is a interior designer and all, but  he ignored his mom by saying he is busy n not interested  without looking at the pic but he had hear his mom saying she is beautiful and from Bangalore. And  with Divya something same had happened ..!! but she had seen the pic and had ignored the name becz image was clicked in NY in-front of some university which is famous for its Photography and media courses.she didn't like the boy becz he  has done his education from some foreign university and she finds people too arrogant if they have Foreign graduation certificates.

But she connected the dots and she found Vidyut is the guy her mother was speaking and on other side Vidyut also guessed may be divya is the same interior designer his mother had mentioned. 

They both together pointing there finger at each other call each others mane 

Vidyut-DIVYA interior designers..!!  

Divya- A grad from NY who has done photography course !!

and a Big silence... both were shocked !! 

Divya's Phone rings surprisingly the name of caller was DAD!! she looked at watch and picked the call Hi DAD.. He sweetie what are you doing ?? i m in a coffee shop with friend ..!! for that line Vidyut Looked at her and smiled..!

How come you are calling now !! i mean its midnight in LONDON!! dint  you sleep ??

nope beta got up and was packing my bag for business trip i got to catch a early morning flight !! Divya - ohh !! anything special dad ..!! you wann speak something ??

nope dear just a reminder, check your mail !! okay tc bye !!

bye dad!!

she switches herself from Facebook to Gmail surprisingly sees the mail from her day with subject Proposal. 

Divya opens the mail and finds Vidyut S  an MBA grad from SDM college of MGMT and certified  From NYIP, Now an Entrepreneur..!! 

She kept on reading his bio-data and after every line... her inner voice was saying WOW..!!

and Lastly few of his pics ..!! she says wedding photographer and his photos are clicked with some lame camera not clear enough and looks at Vidyut ..!! he was busy with some thing and she continues to read the last few lines that Divya's Dad had written 

Dearest Daughter,

I know you ignored the proposal when your mom told you about the guy and i also know just because he has done some part of education in NY... don't think on that note much just go and meet him on 9th march @ cafe Noir the one which is in Orion mall. at 6pm.

will talk about this later over phone

Now she again looked at Vidyut he was reading something she sat silently and took the water bottle whatever little water he had left in that bottle was over now..!! He broke the silence say was reading mail. An corrected saying An important mail from My sister and smiled..! he gave her hint saying that.

Vidyut had also read something similar kind of mail which Divya had read few minutes back ..!

And she said forwarding her hand HI I'M DIVYA .K interior designer with BIG smile :D

he joined her hand said VIDYUT .S An entrepreneur with blush.

We were suppose to meet tomorrow was his next line. she said suppose toooo...!  but looks like some one changed our schedule..!! yeah and they started to talk like friends But Divya was blushing continuously. He said Lets head out i will drop you on the way and he started to close his laptop. keeping her novel inside her bag and said gimme minute i will be back and ya i have kept my bag and phone on table keep an eye on that too..!! Vidyut said Yes My Lady Anything else ?!?

she replied with a smile that's it for now..!! and walked towards wash room. he paid all the bills starting from her first coffee till the last coffee they had together and also his bills. and She returned 

asking waiter for Bill but surprisingly waiter said your Bills are already paid ma'am !!

She looks at Vidyut who was busy with his phone messaging someone!! she said thank you and he returned to his conscious saying WHAT!! 

Divya again say's Thanks for paying bills...!!

"Its gonna be a habit soon" he said with smile :) :)

And picks up his bag and says ma'am your Bag !! thanks Mr. Bijali she says..!

Vidyut-what?!?!?

Divya- nothing nothing just translation!!

Vidyut-don't you like my name..!! why are you translating it to a comic version !?
was pulling your leg because you were teasing me that  MA"AM word and a laughter from Divya.

Vidyut: okay !! Mis. Brightness lets go :) :)   

Both smiled and a silent walk towards the parking, she finds a pretty decent white color A class Mercedes Benz..! and yes it is his car he open the central locking with his car remote. He opens the rare door and she stood shocked and he keeps his laptop bag and turns towards her, he found  BIG question mark on her face and replies I was keeping my Bag..! she smiles and he opens the door for her like a gentlemen and he grabs the driving wheel. and say shall we..!?! with a smile she says ya lets go !! 

Light music playing on the JBL fitted inside the car she was able to feel the beats..!! and they dint speak till he said here it is 2nd stage Jayanagar..!! where exactly you want me to drop ?? while he took the car to side.

Divya - my house is near, i will go by walk !! 

Vidyut: don't worry i wont enter your house!

Divya: No NO nothing like that..road is narrow and one way too so i said i will go by walk  !!

Vidyut: okay :) 

Divya: Thanks for the drop too :) :D

Vidyut: you want to meet tomorrow again ?!?

Divya: with big blush replied ya why not but not for the coffee ..!! 

Vidyut- LUNCH ?

Divya-Dinner sounds Better noo?!?!

Vidyut- dinner and talk ?!?

Divya- No talk only dinner, i guess talk part is over today replied with blush!!

After driving  few meters, his phone makes a bell sound he says so fast and checks the Facebook messenger. 

its Divya - I replied to dad's mail.. told him i met you today itself kar ke !!

Vidyut: and keeps the phone down !!

Again ping !! from Divya - still driving !?!

VIdyut: yes!! 

Divya : reply once you reach home!

Vidyut parked his car and went directly to his mom and said i met her !! and in back ground His sis Sneha: met who?!?

in return vidyut - Hey Dee!! how come you are here !! ? 

Sneha : hope u have seen my mail !!

vidyut had read her mail but he had forgotten that Sneha will be in Bangalore for next two days.

Vidyut: ohh .!! sorry i forgot your travel plan !!  

Sneha: YOU met who !?

vidyut : i met her !! i mean Divya the interior designer ..!!

Snehaa : what !! with full excitement !! when?? how come today ?!? you know her ?!?! is she pretty ?!! what you spoke !! 

Typical girly types non stop..!!

to all the questions he answered is one simple line- she is cool :) and walked towards the bed room!!

and she started shouting and MOM was not bale to understand whats going on !!

Sneha: told her mom .. Maa vidyut met the girl that proposal girl maa !!  And now her mom was on high!! and she also add by say he said she is cool :) she was too high now!!

they both entered room without knocking the door!! Vidyut was replying to Divya: I reached home!!and..!!sneha took the phone and read the message ..!! started to teas him and his mom also joined his sisters !! he started to blush !!

MOM: did you like the girl ?

Vidyut: she is cool but i don't know !!

Sneha: look at your face !! maa... he is ready now lets call her home and let them know what you say ??

 MOM: yes yes !! 

Vidyut: AReeyyy gimme my phone back dee!

sneha: don't worry you carry on and ya take it.

Vidyut: sent the message to Divya !

Divya: okay whats going on at your place?!?

Vidyut: you will get to know soon !!

 sneha and her mom called  Divya's mom and spoke about the things and they also said vidyut has given green signal so let us know your daughters decision !

Divya's mom entered the room : you dint tell me you met the Boy !! 

Divya shocked : i was about to tell!! i told dad!! as usual you are.. your Papa's daughter !!

Divy's MOM: did you like him they have agreed for the marriage and they want to know our decision. His mom and sister had called me just now.!

 Divya :  he is okay !! but !!

Divya's mom cuts the statement okay !! you met him without tell anyone and you are blushing from so long and you are telling me He is oky  :) :) hahah :)
